Good News for Students Studying Agriculture, Agra-business and the Natural Sciences

Obama Administration makes another significant investment in our country's competitiveness in the natural sciences and agra-business arenas.  Through increased partnerships with key federal programs, historically Black, land-grant colleges will expand the number of graduates who go on to contribute to our country's success through their work in agricultural and science-related careers.

USDA and the EPA top the list of government entities that will increase internships, practicums and special project partnership opportunities with undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at our leading historicially Black land-grant colleges and universities.  Although these schools are predominately populated with Black students, whites and other minority students regularly enroll in and graduate from these fine institutions.

Lead administrators at the government agencies are excited about this increased and enhanced focus on working with the growing population students of color from participating colleges and universities.
